2021/22 Season Auditions


Redhouse is producing a four (4) show MainStage Season with the following productions:

  • Sister Act
  • August Wilson’s Fences
  • Macbeth
  • Dirty, Rotten Scoundrels

General Audition Information


Audition Dates: May 14th-16th, 2021
Event Address: 400 South Salina Street, Syracuse, NY 13201
Parking Available: City Centre Parking – located at the back of our building off of S. Clinton Street

Safety is our highest priority: Please review ALL information on this page so that everyone involved with auditions this season is informed and safe.

In accordance with State, County and CDC Guidelines, you will be temperature checked before entry into the facility. Auditioners and all staff are required to wear masks covering their nose and mouth at all times unless at their mark in the audition room. Redhouse has set the highest standards for sanitizing and cleanliness and is following all social distancing and small group requirements and has Intellipure air purifiers throughout the facility. We will continue to monitor public health recommendations and respond as necessary. 

Audition Schedule:


*Please Note:
– Performers auditioning for Sister Act and/or Dirty Rotten Scoundrels must attend a dance call.
– Dance calls are open, and you may choose which time slot you can attend based on your availability.
–  Please make sure on your signup form to indicate which dance call you plan on attending.
– Dancers will be required to wear masks during the dance call and will be socially distanced. Additional precautions will be explained at your check-in/arrival.

Callback Information

Wednesday, May 19th – Thursday, May 20th: Fences Callbacks/Interview
*Performers who are called back for Fences will have a callback interview with Director, Ted Lange, via Zoom. Please make sure you include your availability for these dates when you sign up.

Wednesday, May 26th and Thursday, May 27th (evening): Dirty Rotten Scoundrels Callbacks/Interview
*Performers who are called back for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will have a callback session with Director, Robert Ross Parker, via Zoom. Please make sure you include your availability for these dates when you sign up.

What to expect for your audition:

  • Please sign up for an audition slot using this Google Form:https://forms.gle/cFVGLXw8Y7PEKsws9

  • When your audition time is scheduled, you will receive an email confirming your time slot

  • Prepare one song (if auditioning for a musical). Song choices are provided on this website in pdf and available for download. Please prepare the highlighted section of your song.

  • Prepare a one-minute monologue.
    If auditioning for Macbeth, please prepare a Shakespearean monologue. If you do not have one, one has been provided (below) in the show description section.

  • If auditioning for a musical, prepare the music provided on this page. *You can find sheet music for each musical below in the show description section for download.

    **Please note: In order to keep our accompanist safe and to eliminate the continual passing of sheet music and close exposure, we ask that you prepare the songs given. No auditioner will approach the accompanist at any time.

  • Please bring your headshot and resume with you. *When you check in, directions on where to turn in your headshot/resume will be given.

  • Please arrive early for your audition time. As part of the process you will be temperature checked before entry into the facility. Auditioners are required to wear masks at all times unless at their mark in the audition room.

NOTE: No actor descriptions are noted (age ranges, ethnicities, genders, etc.) Performers of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to audition. BI/POC performers are always encouraged to apply for any/all roles. We are excited to see your submissions and meet some of you in person this May!
