General Audition Information

Safety is our highest priority: Please review ALL information on this page so that everyone involved with auditions this season is informed and safe.
In accordance with State, County and CDC Guidelines, you will be temperature checked before entry into the facility. Auditioners and all staff are required to wear masks covering their nose and mouth at all times unless at their mark in the audition room. Redhouse has set the highest standards for sanitizing and cleanliness and is following all social distancing and small group requirements and has Intellipure air purifiers throughout the facility. We will continue to monitor public health recommendations and respond as necessary.

You will be given a monologue to read at the audition. If you are interested in Sister Act, You can sing about a minute of any song of your choice. American Idol style. A list of available roles and audition monologues can be found below on this page.

Sister Act – Roles Available
Rehearsals and show dates run from November 1 – December 19, 2021
The desk chief at the Philadelphia police station and a high school classmate of Deloris who helps get her into hiding. Must sing high tenor. Age 25-35
One of Deloris’s back-up singers. A little naive. Strong singer. Age 20s-30s
Fences – Roles Available
Rehearsals and show dates run from January 31 – March 6, 2022
The teenage son of Troy and Rose Maxson. A senior in high school, Cory gets good grades and college recruiters are coming to see him play football. Anyone 19-28 years old.
Troy’s wife and mother of his second child, Cory. Rose is a forty-three year-old African American housewife who volunteers at her church regularly and loves her family. Any adult woman.
Troy’s brother. Gabriel was a soldier in the Second World War, during which he received a head injury that required a metal plate to be surgically implanted into his head. Any 30+ years old
Troy’s best friend of over thirty years. Jim Bono is usually called “Bono” or “Mr. Bono” by the characters in Fences. Bono and Troy met in jail. Anyone 40+ years old
Troy’s son, fathered before Troy’s time in jail with a woman Troy met before Troy became a baseball player and before he met Rose. Lyons is an ambitious and talented jazz musician. Anyone in their 20s-30s.
