Theatre Experience Production Opportunities
Experiential learning through production with a focus on developing professional performing and technical skills. Students participate in all aspects of production including rehearsal, tech and performance:
Hairspray: Community actors train in musical theatre styles and performance under the mentorship of professional actors, director, and choreographer. Rehearsals are designed to develop the necessary skills for continued advancement in the field. This program will feature adult community actors as well as thirty inner city youth- at- risk from the Hillside Family of Agencies.
Peter Pan, or the Boy Who Would Not Grow Up: Community actors, adults with physical and mental disabilities, and at-risk youth work together under great mentorship to create an imaginative experience where disabilities do not exist. Rehearsals are designed to develop performance and social skills and to have fun! We are putting a huge twist, as we always do, with this show using a found object theme for the set, costumes, sound and lighting. This program will feature adults from Arc of Onondaga, teens from the Hillsode Family of Agencies, community and professional actors. |
