It’s Always Okay To Be Me, by Danielle Marie Bergan
Danielle Bergan currently resides on the island of Maui. Danielle is a transgender advocate who speaks at various venues to raise awareness that the transgender community is nothing to be afraid of. In January she started the first transgender support group on Maui. Recently GLESN Maui approached her to become an active member of their Board of Directors. Ms. Bergan is also working on organizing a grass roots movement to end transgender health care exclusions in Hawaii. Lastly, she is active in her community as a member of the West Maui Domestic Violence Task Force. In her spare time Danielle enjoys, writing, walking, going to the beach, having coffee with friends, reading and playing Words with Friends.
