The Whistling Mitch Variety Show

Entertainer and professional Whistler Mitch Hider will perform a variety show at Redhouse with all proceeds to benefit ALS of Central New York and Redhouse Arts Center. Mitch Hider has been a professional whistler and musical variety performer for 40 years for a wide variety of occasions and for all age groups.  Mitch was the 1982 International Competition Grand Champion whistler, and is in the National Whistlers Hall of Fame.

Mitch’s variety show is very much like the old Vaudeville shows. In addition to whistling he also sings, yodels and scats; he does standards, jazz, show tunes, sacred, western, novelty, international and more. He plays ukulele, harmonica, drums and other novelty instruments. He uses a table of hats and props. Mitch’s shows have a lot of humor and are fun for all ages. Join us for an evening of old fashioned fun and pure entertainment.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the event and all those who supported the ALS Association of CNY and Redhouse Arts Center.

RTRH Circle 2019 Thank you350x350

Rockin’ the Redhouse is a battle of corporate bands. Fellow employees and friends have a great time cheering on their bands and audience participation is part of the judging criteria. This event is a great employee morale building event where the “garage bands” get to play on the big stage at the Landmark Theater. Each band has 12-15 minutes of stage time. This year, eight bands will entertain over 1,000 audience members and fans to support Redhouse education scholarships.
