Cabaret innovator Marissa Mulder in
Marilyn in Fragments
Friday Feb 16th and Saturday, Feb 17th at 8pm
Redhouse welcomes back another Syracuse native and
audience favorite, cabaret star Marissa Mulder. She returns to Redhouse to perform her unique tribute to Marilyn Monroe, a riveting and entertaining portrait of the beloved icon accompanied by brilliant pianist Jon Weber. This one-hour show weaves passages from Monroe’s diaries, letters, poems and even hand-written recipes with 20 eclectic songs into a compelling tapestry. Drawn from a variety of sources, the familiar music ranges from popular classics including “I’ve Got a Crush On You” by George and Ira Gershwin to “My Heart Belongs to Daddy” by Cole Porter to “My Coloring Book” by Kander and Ebb to “Hand In My Pocket” by Alanis Morrrisette and “The Piano Has Been Drinking” by Tom Watts. A perfect date night at the theatre for Valentine’s weekend, warm up a romantic winter’s evening with Marilyn in Fragments!
